"Installation was a breeze and as soon as it is installed it walks you through the program to explain what you will find, and how to use it. It is very thorough in what it covers and does so with a concise and easy to follow approach.
This is a full year curriculum package that you can begin using with your child as early as 6 months of age. It covers chord recognition, note sounds, solfege, hear and sing exercises, clap along exercises, introduction to musical instruments, classical music clips which help your child learn an appreciation for the classics, rhythm, scales, keyboard lessons ... It is all included to make for a fine rounded, fully encompassed curriculum package for even the very young.
Created by a father who looked for a program to teach his own toddler, but could not find one that covered a broad range of areas in a comprehensive manner, so he decided to make his own. We are so glad he did! This is a fine program that will help so many!
It is so easy. Once it is open, the software allows you to choose the section you wish to work within. Click on the subject of choice, then click on the green arrow and it starts the lesson. This is a well designed software program that functioned well for us and was easy to understand and use. Very user friendly, as they say.
At the top of the screen you have a multitude of choices as well. Free Play, Tools, Forums etc., all adding to the broad scope in which the program covers.
If you want to move beyond the basic, simple lesson plan for your child and want to give them a true, rich experience and love for music, I suggest trying this one. Great for at home, as you can use it as little as 5 minutes a day and see great benefit from it."

"As any world-class musician will tell you, music is very much a language. And children, for a period of time when they're young, have an amazing capacity to absorb and learn languages, music included. Little Musician enables you to take advantage of that incredible learning window by providing the means for even very young children to learn the fundamentals of music - melody, harmony, rhythm, meter - while exposing them to a wide range of instruments and world-famous music via the software. This boxed set includes everything you need - software disc, Quick Start guide, and two concise, extremely well written booklets. The curriculum spans two years (4 semesters of 6 months apiece), and each day's session includes a number of bite-sized lessons - chord recognition, note sounds, clap-along, rhythm, scales, keyboard, and much more - all without you or your child ever touching a musical instrument. The software is exceptionally easy to navigate. Both the software and written materials are so clearly laid out that parents don't need to know a thing about music in order to ensure their child gets the most out of the curriculum. Whether you aspire to have your children become musical prodigies or simply want them to have an understanding and lifelong appreciation of music, Little Musician provides an exceptional means for getting them there."
Little Musician is a learning system created to empower parents to help develop their children's musicality during the early years when learning can be effortless. Even if you have no knowledge of music, all that is needed is for you to interact and have fun with your child. The five minute daily lessons are customizable, cater to children's short attention spans and fit into your busy schedule. A pre-planned one year curriculum nurtures your child's interest in music while developing innate musical talent and building a solid foundation in music education. The Little Musician Basic kit includes Windows compatible software, a license key for installations on up to two computers, a ready-made curriculum with 12 months worth of lessons and two informational booklets. Children will learn to sing notes in Solfège (do, re, mi, etc.), develop their voice boxes, recognize notes and chords, improve their sense of sound and pitch, sight-read music, develop a sense of rhythm, learn about major instruments, get acquainted with famous composers and compositions and gain familiarity with the musical keyboard. This interactive experience encourages you and your child to listen, sing, move, clap and guess at the sounds you hear and notes you see. Little Musician is appropriate for all ages, from infants and toddlers up to adults.
"Little Musician is awesome. It includes everything you need to teach your child about music. My two year old son has always loved playing with the keyboard, so I was really excited to have him start watching this. The short daily lessons keep him intrigued, and then we can watch educational YouTube videos, he can play music on his own, learn about instruments or composers or do other activities."Read More at our Mom's Best Award Page
